Voted the Best “New Festival” by Atlanta Magazine (2015) FIT4 pays homage to the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917.

The Old Fourth Ward (O4W) community was changed forever  100 YEARS AGO, when a conflagration raged for over 10 hours from Dekalb Avenue and Hilliard to Ponce de Leon along the Jackson Street, Parkway and Boulevard.

On Saturday MAY 20, 2017, the Old Fourth Ward Business Association (O4WBA) will present the 3rd annual fundraising event, Fire in the Fourth, to raise awareness of the rich history, diverse businesses and engage the greater Atlanta community to learn about just how resilient we are today!  The O4W is one the fastest growing neighborhoods in the City of Atlanta with the developments of the eastside trail of the Atlanta BeltLine, the Atlanta Streetcar and Ponce City Market.

Celebrating the resurgence of the O4W community through an one-day FREE event for all ages  featuring fire sculptures, fire theatre, history presentations, a variety of performances, live music, delicious food, beer and spirits.

Since being voted the Best “New Festival” by Atlanta Magazine in 2015, we have welcomed  over 5,000 people in 2015 and over 8,000 in 2016  from in-town Atlanta, greater Metro Atlanta and as far as Washington state.  Everyone from strollers to wheelchairs of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds arrive within the first hour of the event with the majority staying until the end to witness the two hour fire performance.

Together with the O4WBA, attendees, sponsors and volunteers make this community event possible and give back too!  We’ve funded City of Atlanta trash cans, collaborated on murals and produced a public safety inititave to educate about keeping valuables safe in your vehicle.

We invite you to come experience the Old Fourth Ward with us on Saturday May 20, 2017. Learn about the history that anchors our community as we soar into the future.  Be thrilled by local musicians, dancers and performers.  Get engaged and help us raise funds to give back to community projects in 2017!
