WHY FIRE IN THE FOURTH? 

As the primary economic engine of the Old Fourth Ward Business Association, Fire in the Fourth allows our organization to undertake beautification, branding and public safety initiatives on behalf of the entire Old Fourth Ward. By bringing thousands of people to Edgewood and Auburn Avenues, Fire in the Fourth communicates a positive image of the Old Fourth Ward as a resourceful, dynamic community, full of fun and rich in history.

WHAT MAKES FIRE IN THE FOURTH DIFFERENT? 

No rows of white tents and folding tables, no arts and crafts for sale, no funnel cakes. Fire in the Fourth is the anti-festival festival: we’ve replaced the old county fair model with an outside-the-box presentation of fire, music, movement and performances that you won’t soon forget!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A FIRE IN THE FOURTH SPONSOR?

With no rows of tents, Fire in the Fourth sponsors have to get creative. Sponsors get the flexibility to decide the best way to showcase their brands.  For some the traditional route: logos on splashy banners, event signage, digital and social media advertising is the best.  Others choose to communicate their brand via interactive experiences such as Water Cooler Chat, Soapbox Sessions, Q&A Games, and other creative engagements with potential customers and supporters as well as brand recognition. This is a community event and we encourage our sponsors to join in the fun and get the most for their investment.  

WHO ATTENDS FIRE IN THE FOURTH? 

Fire in the Fourth is enjoyed by neighbors from Grant Park, Reynoldstown, Downtown, Castleberry Hill, Cabbagetown, Inman Park, Candler Park, Buckhead, Midtown, Virginia-Highland, Decatur, East Atlanta, Kirkwood and West Midtown as well as those who traveled from communities as far as Athens, Georgia. 2016 welcomed visitors from Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.  Fire in the Fourth is for everyone from strollers to wheelchairs of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, many arriving within the first hour of the event staying until the end
